Smiles ) My hope is for more people in our world to understand that one person can make a difference. Education is the key and our minds must be always open to change, to experience and we must never stop learning. Happy Trails and keep smiling.

Joy, Happiness and Madness

What can I say, it has been too long since my last entry.

The month of July was one of joy and happiness. My sister was back in town which was great because it has been really great fun catching up with her, without her busy working away on the hp or rushing off to a meeting while we try to ctach up in London. My best friend and his wife who is also one of my dearest friends was also in town. It was excellent stuff, getting to go out and have a life with friends after work and plans for the weekend, instead of the normal routine of cleaning and getting ready for the next week of work. Then if all this fun wasn't enough, I took the wife, my sis and my mum off on a spa and villa getaway which was truly sinful. Spa treatments everyday and just general lazing around all day by the pool and the jacuzzi. Then of course there was the lovely food and the ever present cold drinks. Mmmm True bliss. Of course July is also my month of birth and while there was no celebration, (tuckered out from all the pampering of the vacation) I was really pleased that everyone I cared about was safe. Especially so when one thinks that both my dearest friends and my sis live and work in London during the whole London bombing. It was generally a great month in July, one of the best birthday months I care to remember for a good number of years now.

Sadly the joy can't go on forever and come end July and early August... the stars haven't been good to me. I'm frustrated and hurt. I haven't written becos it has been a terrible time for me. Work is hell as always and while I can cope with that. I have found that I have been derailed becos of morons who forget that they share this world we all live in. First off, my lovely black 4x4 has serious injuries after a nasty, dim-witted and clueless black RX300 decided to continue driving while everyone else on the road had stopped. Needless to say, I'm very fortunate to have not been hurt by this terrorist on our road but my poor car took the hit for me bravely. Sadly my buggy is still on the operation table and it my be a month before she'll be ready to cruise again. If that wasn't a crime enough on the road, I was almost driven off the road by a truly insane pick-up truck the bloody next day when I was driving my bro's huge 4x4. The freak with about 10 or so foreign workers crammed on the rear cab, just decided that he wanted to make a left turn and promptly just swerved into my lane. It was a good thing my reflexes are decent because I only just managed to avoid being rammed into against the road shoulder.

The big 4x4 for all it's size just didn't matter to this inconsiderate f**k! In two days, my life could have ended on the CTE. What is wrong with these drivers? Don't they understand that there are other road users, in all my 14 years of driving I'm proud to say that I haven't caused an accident, unfortunately I have been hit before and this makes it the second time in as many years here in Singapore. But these incidents of terrible road manners and incompetent drivers like the Lexus who failed to stop are getting more frequent. It is becoming so senseless that everytime I get into my car for the commute to work, I see near misses and the inconsiderate acts of these drivers. So don't tell me these lousy as*e drivers are few and far between. I seriously hope they all f**king drop dead at the hands of another stupid and incompetent driver like themselves.

Still I'm bum out, I vent but it the truth is, I have no choice but to share the roads with these clueless lowlife scum who think they own the roads, but what really bugs me is... where the hell are our men in blue, 'the protectors' who are so ready to put up speed cameras to generate revenue. I say, stop playing with techy gizmos and hit the beat!! Pull these inconsiderate and lousy ass drivers over and fine them and issue them with demerit points. Get them enough times and society can revoke their licence. The roads would be a much safer place to be with one less moron with a vehicle they use like a deadly weapon. Finally, haul up all the morons who passed these fools. Check who was the instructor who passed these 'licenced' drivers, have a fine and strike out system for them too because they are obviously not doing a decent enough job when they let an inconsiderate driver who may very well kill someone on the road with their vehicle.

Yes I'm pissed but more so, I'm sad that someone else may not be as lucky as me to have been able to walk away from such senselss and inconsiderate acts. And I'm worried that may be next time, I may not be so lucky. All becos some clueless ass thinks he/she owns the road. Madness.
